IEI FalL 2020 - COVID-19 PLans
The University of Illinois and the Intensive English Institute are committed to the health and safety of our students. University of Illinois has announced that it will return to on-campus instruction for the Fall 2020 semester. The semester will consist of a combination of in-person and remote instruction. The IEI will be following these guidelines. Some IEI classes will be partially face-to-face and partially online using Zoom. In the face-to-face classes, students will sit in desks that are socially distanced (2 meters) from each other. All students and teachers will be required to wear masks. Other IEI classes will be held entirely online using Zoom. For more information about campus requirements for Fall 2020 please visit the University of Illinois COVID-19 website.
Despite this change in class format, the IEI will continue to offer high quality English instruction, as well as other activities where you can practice your English such as online Chit Chats and ConvoPartners. As always, as an IEI student, you can improve your language proficiency and your use of English for your academic or professional development.
Please do not hesitate to contact IEI with your questions. We plan to post answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about Fall 2020 programs on the IEI web site. Although the IEI office at 507 E.
